At Innovative, our mission is to create opportunities and support possibilities for everyone. We are proud to announce a significant milestone in that mission: a series of grants totaling $34,500 awarded to enhance our early childhood education facilities and expand access to vital pediatric therapy services for low-income families in Southwest Washington.
Investing in Our Community's Future
These grants reflect the commitment of our community to supporting children during their most critical developmental years. The funding breakdown includes:
$10,000 from the IMA Foundation
$10,000 from Kaiser Permanente
$7,000 from Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation
$5,000 from the Sundt Foundation
$2,000 from iQ Credit Union
$500 from the Clark County Realtors Foundation
“This funding allows us to expand our reach and help more children thrive during their most critical developmental years,” said Dena Strong, ISNW President and CEO. “We are deeply grateful for the support from these generous organizations and look forward to realizing the powerful impact their investments will have on the children and families of our community.”
Enhancing Early Childhood Education
A portion of these grants, totaling $10,500, will fund renovations to our early childhood education facilities. This funding will support our highly anticipated Early Learning Kitchen update, which will help our programs to serve more children and families. While additional funding is still needed to make this dream a reality, this grant marks a significant step forward in bringing this project to life.
Expanding Pediatric Therapy Services
The remaining $24,000 will bolster our outpatient pediatric therapy program, which provides speech, occupational, and physical therapy to children from low-income families. With over 66% of our clients insured through Medicaid and no cap on Medicaid clients, the demand for these services continues to grow. These grants will help bridge the gap between operational costs and reimbursement rates, ensuring that children receive the care they need during their most formative years.
Thank You to Our Partners
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the IMA Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, Umpqua Bank, the Sundt Foundation, iQ Credit Union, and the Clark County Realtors Foundation. Their belief in our mission empowers us to continue making a difference in the lives of over 1,000+ children and adults each year.
