ABOUT US

A visual timeline of the history of ISNW. The timeline has a circle with information for significant milestones of the organization for the years 1963, 1978, 1995, 2008, and today. 1963: We began when a small group of parents established an activity program for children and adults with disabilities. The adult program eventually became our Employment and Janitorial Services. 1978: Our Pediatric Therapy program was founded, providing therapies and support for children and their families. 1995: In response to the growing need for childcare and preschool for children with disabilities, our inclusive Early Learning program opened to serve children of all ability and income levels. 2008: We moved into our home, the Mary Firstenburg Family Center. Our building has allowed us to house our continuum of birth-to-adulthood programs under one roof. Today: Our core purpose and mission remains the same as it was in 1963: Our core purpose is to support possibilities for everyone.
History

HISTORY

Innovative Services NW has been serving some of the most vulnerable populations in Clark County, Washington since 1963. We began when a small group of parents established an activity program for their children, including adult children, with disabilities. In 1965 we incorporated as a nonprofit with a $1,430 budget and two part-time staff serving 15 individuals per month. Today, we have a $7 million budget for the entire organization and 110 employees who served more than 1,1500 children, adults, and families in fiscal year 2023-2024, many on a daily or weekly basis.
